Job Title BANKING OFFICERS B4 (X1 Position): Card Management: POSTBANK: BLOEMFONTEIN
Reports to SENIOR BANKING OFFICER/ SUPERVISOR: CARD MANAGEMENT
Summation Processing of Stock orders regarding VISA cards and Smart Save Books, the preparation and setting of standing instructions and adjustment of daily limits on customer accounts.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Daily Orders
    Process of all open orders on a daily basis regarding VISA cards and Smart Save books on the applicable system
    • Ensure that all VISA cards and Smart Save orders are recorded when removed from the Chubb in Card Management
    • Ensure that consignments are correctly packed and checked regarding VISA cards and Smart Save books
    • Ensure that the Courier securely collect the cards and Smart Save books for distribution
    • Follow up on open VISA cards and Smart Save book orders on a weekly basis with the Post Offices
  2. Standing Instructions/Setting of Daily Limits
    The timeously setting of daily limits on point of sale and ATM transactions on the Postilion system regarding Postbank
    VISA cards
    • The setting/deletion of credit order instruction from an account to an external bank account
    • The setting of standing instructions on Bonus save accounts
  3. Operational/Customer Relations
    The setting of the status on a VISA card as lost or stolen
    • Attending to all email, fax and telephone queries related to the Card Management Section
    • Receiving and processing of all incoming mail related to Card Management Section
    • Updating of statistics regarding the set of credit orders, daily limits and processing of VISA cards and Smart save
    orders
    • Image scanning of all standing instructions and daily limit documentation
    • Ensuring adherence to the Postbank Operations business rules, procedures, policies and standards
    • Liaising with other sections in Postbank, to ensure maximum workflow
    • Ensuring quality service at all time
    • Compliance to Security regulations and all other Regulations and Acts
  4. Management Support
    Minimum Requirements
    Knowledge, Skills, Attributes & Other requirements
    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
    Grade 12 (NQF Level 4)
    EXPERIENCE
    • At least 2 years relevant administrative Services experience in the functional area, and knowledge of sections in Postbank
    • Operational knowledge of financial administration
    • Knowledge of SAP, Postilion, FCUBS, IGPS, Excel and MS Outlook
    • Operational knowledge of section
