Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric plus Higher Certificate in Accounting or equivalent at NQF level 5;
  • 6 – 12 months relevant experience in office administration.

Primary Function:
Provide support to the Department by performing a variety of tasks including capturing invoices to effect payments to Trade creditors, and controlling and verifying vendor statements

Key Performance Areas:

  • Perform reconciliation by means of reconciling the vendor statement to the SAP payment
    amount, listing all reconciliation items;
  • Effectively manage stakeholder relationships;
  • Manage aspects of the operations;
  • Safeguard and maintain the proper use of all assets;
  • Provide quality documented information on the functions and performance of Community,
    Communications, and Stakeholder Management which are factual, accurate, complete,
    timely, and contribute to and support the overall requirements of Scheduled and Promotion
    Services;
  • Perform general administration and reporting functions.

Leading Competencies:

  • Computer literacy (MS Office Packages, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint);
  • Proficiency with computers and job-specific software;
  • Discretion as there will likely be sensitive information and figures discussed;
  • Interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to prioritise work assigned, having an organized and methodical approach to a task;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Familiar with Basic Accounting principles;
  • Ability to work in strict time constraints;
  • Commitment to working efficiently and accurately;
  • Good written and oral communication skills in English and must be able to communicate
    and coordinate effectively with other stakeholders;
  • Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy and excellent planning, organising,
    coordinating, and time management skills.
