Job Description

REMUNERATION: R235 464 BASIC SALARY PER ANNUM

PURPOSE

Supervise a team of workers in the construction of works, daily clear and repair main blocked sewer lines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Construct, operate and maintain the sewer reticulation systems in accordance with productivity norms, service standard and sewer reticulations. Unblock the manholes. Raise the manholes. Repair the channels. Install new sewer connections. Preventative / Systematic clearing of the sewer lines. Clean site and disinfect. Backfilling Ensure all work is carried out within statutory safety conditions as laid down in the legislation. Communicate with external customers on daily basis. Maintain good relations with customers. Daily interaction with workers.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Essential qualifications and experience:

• Grade 9 or ABET Level 4 (literacy and numeracy) (NQF1)
• 2 years’ experience in operations and maintenance of sewer reticulation.
• Valid Code 10 driver’s license with PrDP
